FEATURED PLANT

The main ingredient of this herbal tea, motherwort , has a bitter taste – tempered here by sweet plants, such as yellow sweet clover or “sweet clover” rich in coumarin, rose petals or cinnamon.
It is probably the bitterness of this plant that made it fall into oblivion, despite the capital role it can play in our natural pharmacopoeia. Motherwort:

  • Regulates the heart rate and tones the heart, thus preventing hypertension.
  • Acts quickly on nervous disorders (panic, anxiety, irritability, etc.) and helps you sleep well.
  • Alleviates premenstrual syndrome, uterine spasms and menopausal disorders, including hot flashes, thanks to its progesterone-like action.
  • Stimulates the appetite and facilitates digestion.

MANUAL

  • Let 1 teaspoon (1.5 g) per cup infuse for 15 to 20 minutes covered in simmering water (prolong the infusion, if necessary, to reduce the bitterness). Filter and enjoy.
  • As this herbal tea does not contain caffeine, you can consume it at any time of the day

Motherwort ( Leonurus cardiaca ), sweet clover ( Melilotus officinalis ), skullcap ( Scutellaria lateriflora ), rose petals, orange blossoms, cinnamon, catnip ( Nepeta cataria ) and lavender flowers.
